President & Chief Executive Officer
As President and Chief Executive Officer of Parsons
Brinckerhoff, Mr. Pierson has responsibility for the firm's
business and technical operations worldwide. He oversees
Parsons Brinckerhoff's operating companies as well as corporate
groups providing global support services. A licensed engineer
and lawyer, Mr. Pierson joined Parsons Brinckerhoff in
February 2006 as General Counsel and Secretary. He was
named Chief Operating Officer of the firm's Americas operating
company in January 2008, and became CEO of Parsons Brinckerhoff
in January 2010.
Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, Mr. Pierson was
Partner and Director of the International Construction
Practice Group of Peckar & Abramson, PC, a leading
national construction law firm. During his time with Peckar &
Abramson he was named a Leading Construction Lawyer by
Chambers USA and was named to the international Who’s Who
in Construction Law. He is a Fellow of the American College
of Construction Lawyers.
During a 10-year career with Kvaerner PLC (and its predecessor,
Davy McKee), Mr. Pierson held a variety of posts, including
Executive Vice President and Legal Director of the firm's
Engineering, Technology and Construction Division, and
Vice President of Strategic Development of the firm's Non-Ferrous
Mining Division. Early in his career he was an engineer
with Camp, Dresser & McKee, Inc. in that firm's Walnut
Creek, California office.
Mr. Pierson has a J.D. from Harvard Law School, an MBA
from St. Mary’s College of California, an M.S. degree in
civil engineering from the University of California at
Berkeley, and a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Bucknell
University.
