As the professional services division of Balfour Beatty, we at Parsons Brinckerhoff share a set of values and principles that apply across the world. Key among those values is a commitment to achieving Zero Harm.
Zero Harm is defined as:
- zero fatalities;
- zero permanently disabling injuries;
- zero injuries to members of the public; and
- zero long-term harm to health.
Moreover, at the heart of Zero Harm is a commitment to eliminate the risk of serious harm to our employees, our partners and the public.
Zero Harm sets the context for our approach to health and safety. To achieve the goals outlined above, we have developed a common set of standards against which to measure our progress. Our Expectations for Managing Health and Safety document sets out minimum standards to be met throughout the company. These requirements are reviewed, updated and re-issued when appropriate. Our overarching goal is to achieve a working environment in which the risk of harm to anyone is zero.
