About Operations & Maintenance
Parsons Brinckerhoff is a leading provider of operations and maintenance (O&M) services for a wide range of infrastructure assets worldwide, including transportation systems, power plants, and buildings and facilities. Our O&M services are enhanced by more than a century of experience in the planning, design, and construction of all major forms of infrastructure. Our understanding of how an infrastructure asset changes over its life cycle—whether it is a highway, bridge, tunnel, transit system, building, or power station—provides a critical perspective in developing an effective O&M program that will promote safety and efficiency, and reduce long-term operating costs.
Our services include management of condition assessment and inspection programs; maintenance management and training; development of facility management and maintenance programs; and energy management. Our O&M projects range from maintenance of roadway networks for the Highways Agency in the UK, to energy management for major buildings in Asia, to management of large-scale building condition assessment programs in the U.S. We developed condition assessment survey procedures and created deficiency-standards handbooks for one of the largest facility survey programs ever conducted by the U.S. government, involving 10,000 buildings as well as structures and equipment.
Whether provided as stand-alone services, or part of a suite of services supporting project delivery and operation, Parsons Brinckerhoff’s O&M services assist clients in protecting vital—and expensive—infrastructure assets and extending their operational life.
